Vinal General Store is a vibrant, feel-good eatery with the heart of an old school soda fountain. We opened our doors in January 2022 in Somerville’s Union Square as the lively, “lunchier” sibling of Vinal Bakery next door.
We offer a delightful array of sandwiches (try the Spuckie!), along with soft serve, beer & wine, and an eclectic selection of pantry staples, host gifts, and snacks.
From office lunch runs to leisurely hangs, Vinal General Store is your spot for great food, good vibes, and plenty of reasons to stay awhile.

Founded by Sarah Murphy, a New Hampshire native and alum of Flour Bakery and Bagelsaurus (among others), both Vinal Bakery and Vinal General Store reflect her passion for great food and community spirit.
